Only the Committee may approve hiring out the Club Rooms.
The Club Rooms may only be hired out by a Club member, not by a group or organization.
The Club Member hiring the Club Rooms may however invite other Club members and non members including members of a group or organization that the Club member belongs to.
As the Club does not hold a licence for public gatherings, public meetings are not permitted.
The Club Rooms may only be used for playing bridge or such other sedentary activities, social gatherings or meetings, with a maximum of 100 persons present at any one time.
A fundraising activity is permitted provided the funds are for a non-profit organization. This excludes businesses and individuals seeking financial or personal gain from the fundraising.
Social gatherings shall only be for the Club member or the Club Member’s immediate family and shall be restricted to gatherings where it is expected there will be no appreciable wear and tear on the Club’s furnishings. No sale of liquor is permitted without a special licence arranged by the member hiring the Rooms. As the Club does not have a licensed kitchen, on-site food preparation for a social event is limited. 21st Birthday celebrations and wedding receptions shall not be allowed under this policy.
The Committee shall approve from time to time the hire charge
A charge of $50 per half-day (up to 4 hours) and $100 per full day (more than 4 hours) shall apply from the 13th March 2018 until next reviewed. There will an extra charge of $30 if kitchen facilities are used for other than tea and coffee service. There will be a minimum charge of $50.
The maximum number of hours that may be charged in any one 24 hour period of hire shall be capped at 8 hours between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm unless otherwise agreed.
