The days of hand dealing are long gone but the cards still need to be dealt. We now have a wonderful team of volunteers who operate our dealing machine and provide us with our ready-dealt cards. The machine deals them absolutely randomly. ( Well some may say otherwise! ) The dealers work mostly in pairs and get a turn approximately every month. They are also responsible for dealing any extra boards e.g. for lessons and tournaments. It takes about 90 minutes depending on how many boards are being dealt.
